Ms. Francesca Shawver Scott

On the morning of September 13, 2023, our beloved Francesca Shawver-Scott, better known to family and friends as Chessy, went to be with the Lord. Chessy was born September 18, 1983 to Chris Shawver and Maria Couch in Oklahoma City. She passed just a few days shy of her 40th birthday. Chessy was a graduate from Edmond North High School in 2002, and attended Cosmetology School at Francis Tuttle Technology Center where she received her Cosmetology license. She enjoyed doing hair for many years. She worked at many salons around the Oklahoma City area. Chessy began working for her father, David in 2017, where she found a passion for beautiful landscaping. Many of her customers requested her to arrange their flower beds and pots and she was always so proud of her projects. She was a very hard worker and never shied away from manual labor. Chessy spent months living in Los Angeles, California, focusing on her sobriety and metal health. She truly blossomed there and enjoyed working at Calabasas Golf Course. Chessy loved her family and friends dearly. She was her momma’s girl! Chessy also loved her dogs, Bella and Rosie as her own children. She took them everywhere with her. If her dogs weren’t welcomed, Chessy wasn’t coming. Chessy was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Eda “Mimi” Shawver, Edith “Nana” Wham, Amada Perez, William “Papa Bill” Shawver, her Aunt Sharon Flynn, and her dog, Bella. Chessy is survived by her mother and father, David and Maria Couch. Her father, Chris Shawver and bonus mom, Karen Shawver. Her step-mother, Janell Humphrey and husband Greg. Her Grandpa, Ygnacio Perez and wife, Elaina. Sisters, Carissa Traut and husband Bill, Beonca Couch, Kristyn Rogers-Shawver and wife Kayla, brother Isaiah Shawver. Step-daughter, Jessica Scott. Nieces and nephews, Rian, Mylee, Piper, Nash and baby Kyson coming in January. Her Aunts, Amada Lisa Perez, Yolanda Perez, Rebecca White and her beloved dog, Rosie. She is also survived by numerous cherished Aunts, Uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. In the midst of all of Chessy’s struggles, she had a real and true relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
