Public viewing Saturday July 27, 2019 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM Ja’Maal Rasheem Smith was born October 10, 1980 in Oklahoma City OK at the Presbyterian Hospital to the union of Teresa R. Smith and Albert S. Smith. Preceded him in death was his Father, Albert Smith; Uncle, Nathaniel Brown Jr.; grandparents, Joyce Crawford Smith and Samuel Smith Sr. Ja’Maal grew up in Oklahoma City OK and attended Elementary School at Wiley Post and Tulakes, Mayfield Middle School, Putnam City High School where he was award a scholarship in track. In 1999 he graduated from Guthrie Job Corp. where he received his G.E.D and certificate for completing the Plumbing Program. He received on the job training as a Sous-Chef during his career as a Cook. His last employment was with Southern Nazarene University of Bethany OK contracted with Sedexo Inc. Growing up he loved to cook, eat and go swimming at Washington Park as a young man. Throughout the years, he loved hanging out at family gatherings such as cook outs and barbecues. Family was important to him and he especially loved his Mother and Father dearly. A fond memory was one Christmas mother got Ja’maal and Damon a Super Nintendo and after opening gifts they stayed up all night together playing Super Mario Brothers while beating the entire game that night. He leaves to cherish his memories; his Mother, Teresa R. Smith; Siblings, Dornisher Chris Smith (Patrice), Jermaine Smith, Shonta E. Flowers (Demetris) and DaMon J. Smith; Grandparents, Gussie V. Brown, Jerry D. Johnson, and Nathaniel Brown; Aunts/ Uncle; Faleshia L. Brown, Javier Brown, Georgia Smith, Saundra Smith, Dora Steele and George Smith; Close Loved Ones, Danielle L. Brown and son Daj' Shaun; and a host of family and friends whom loved him dearly. Our Loved one is now with the Lord and the memories that remain are blessings to our heart and we will cherish them forever and always.
